4/6/10: Valparaiso, Chile
Walk through the park.
Think about sitting down but decide against it because the ground is dirty. Instead, stand awkwardly for a few minutes while watching two dogs roll in the grass.
Eat some sour gummies.
Look for a place to eat lunch.
Settle on a greasy looking cafe and have very mushy fries and a questionable piece of beef.
Regret lunch restaurant choice.
Walk up some ridiculously steep streets.
Check out the graffiti-covered walls and random staircases.
Take lots of pictures of colored walls.
Discover some mosaic-covered stairs.
Look at all the colorful houses.
Get adopted by a dog.
Have fun with the gorillapod.
Sneak away from your dog, which somehow ended up falling asleep on your foot.
Take some more pictures.
Check out the non-heights fearing dog.
Walk back down the hill toward the city.
Get accosted by a half-naked man covered in paint while looking in a bakery window.
Get reprimanded by husband for straying out of “the circle of safety.”
Walk through two more parks.
Stop at market stalls to look at some jewelry.
Walk around the block the grocery store is on. Twice.
Turn right at the fake trolley.
Turn right at the next block (past two bakeries).
Walk to the bus station.
